A simple place where creative professionals and the people who need them find each other. We make the introduction — and get out of the way. Customers post project opportunities; photographers, models, stylists, and videographers browse and respond to the ones they want; the two sides talk directly and arrange everything themselves.
Professionals in four categories — Photographers, Models, Stylists, Videographers — and customers: the professionals and businesses who hire them. You must be 18 or older.
1) A customer posts an opportunity with the rate and the pay date stated up front.
2) Professionals browse and respond only to what interests them — responding is always voluntary.
3) The customer reviews responses and chooses.
4) The two sides message directly, share the exact venue when the customer is ready, and arrange the work and the payment between themselves.
Joining is free, and professionals are never charged — no sign-up fee, no response fee, no commission, ever. The first 500 founders will never be charged at all. Customer memberships (Basic $4/month or $40/year; Premium $8/month or $80/year) are shown for information only right now: Membership pricing is displayed for informational purposes. Paid membership billing is not currently available. Subscription checkout will open only after the business model and fee structure have been reviewed by Maryland legal counsel.
Directly between the customer and the professional. Cover My Shoot never holds, takes, or passes along anyone's pay, and takes no cut. The rate and pay date are stated in the posting, up front, before anyone responds.
The person posting the opportunity states the rate and pay date. The final amount and terms are worked out between the customer and the professional — the platform does not set, suggest, or require any minimum rate.
No. Joining does not guarantee work, responses, or income. We are a place to be found and to find each other — what happens after the introduction is up to the two people involved.
"Founder" and "Founding Member" mark the first 500 accounts — the people who joined at the very beginning. Verification labels (such as "Email confirmed" or "Identity check completed") appear only when that exact check has actually been done, and each label says only what was checked. A profile with none of these yet is marked "New member."
Cover My Shoot is an adults-only marketplace. We do not accept children's sessions, school photography, school or youth events, or any assignment where someone under 18 will be present. Adult or sexually explicit assignments, and anything deceptive about what the work involves, are also not accepted.
There is no password. Enter your email and we send you a 6-digit code; enter the code and you are in. Codes last 30 minutes and work once. Once signed in, you stay signed in — up to 180 days, and using the site extends it — so you will rarely need a code at all.
Postings show the general area only. The exact venue is shared by the customer directly, only with the professional they choose, when they are ready. It is never posted publicly.
No. Your email is used only to sign you in and, if you turn them on, to send your assignment alerts. The only things anyone can see are what you choose to put on your public profile. Your email, your sign-in details, and anything you share privately — like a venue address shared directly with the professional you pick — are never displayed publicly, and your information is never sold. We never send spam — the only emails you will ever get from us are your sign-in codes, replies to messages you send us, and assignment alerts you turned on yourself.
